Dwarves

Stoneskin

At the risk of taking a staggering -20 to agility, the dwarf is able to adopt the blessing of the mountain. Their skin turns into a shale, metallic colour and texture. They take on +10 HP and +10 Strength for 1d3 rounds. If their +10 hp is broken, they cannot recast this ability for the rest of the day. If your dwarf loses 2 hp while in Stoneskin form, when they recast the ability, they will have +8 HP and so on.

Costs: 1 Willpower

Expert Craftsman

A dwarf can accumulate objects they find either laying around or that they have obtained. Depending on how long and how much effort they put into crafting a particular item, the results will be much more fruitful. If you do not have this tidbit, your Dwarf will take twice as long to craft. Only one intellect roll can be done a day to create the following:

A weapon of 1d3 damage: [0/100 Intellect]

A weapon of 1d5 damage: [0/150 Intellect]

A weapon of 1d7 damage: [0/200 Intellect]

A weapon of 1d10 damage: [0/250 Intellect]

Other crafted items can be discussed with a DM.

Costs: 1 Agility

Hymn of the Hearth

All dwarves are aware of the hymn, but very few can recite it properly. The hymn of the hearth is a legendary song of the ancestors which connects all dwarves together in lineage. Humming this tune at the right pitch will inspire courage into the dwarf’s allies and fear into their foes. Charisma 100 to achieve, to which +20 Willpower will be rewarded to allies. Foes must beat the Charisma check with Willpower or else they will be frozen in place for 1d2 rounds.

Costs: 1 Perception

Goldgauntlet's Gift

Dwarves aren’t known for their connection to magic. In fact, there has only ever been one reported dwarven arcanist in history: King Midor Goldgauntlet. Some say he was given his powers via the Fae, others say he was born with it. Whatever he touched, as long as he kept it held tightly in his hand over night, would turn to gold come morning sun. Over the centuries this gift has popped up in random generations. At first, it was a sign of being related to one of the richest Kings in Dwarven history… now it’s quite the testimony of extreme luck and… funny family trees. If your dwarf holds on to something overnight, roll a 1d100. If you roll above an 80, the item will turn to solid gold. If you’re looking to sell the item, @berry and we’ll negotiate.

Costs: 1 Intellect
