Wizards
Appearance
-
Absolutely no different from normal humans.
-
Some wizards can experience arcane trauma from either overexerting their power or being caught in the crossfire of two powerful spells at once. This can cause their hair to turn white.
-
Strangely coloured eyes are not typical. They might be possible from certain magics such as transfiguration or illusion.
Origins
-
Wizards have precisely the same origins as normal humans.

History
-
Wizards are normies blessed with the gifts of the Cosmos. How did they first come across that connection? Dragons.
-
Magtherithil, Guardian Dragon of the Cosmos, flew to earth during the early stages of human evolution. After acquiring the attention and devotion of the humans, he promised to teach the most loyal how to wield arcane magic. Some caught on to it with ease whilst others struggled or did not want it. This began the first bloodlines of arcanists.
-
For centuries Magtherithil ruled and taught magic. He brought with him other dragons to help him in other continents as the human population grew. The dragons were depicted in ancient art and manuscripts as time progressed. One day, however, they disappeared without warning. They haven't been prominently on earth for three thousand years.
-
The wizards continued to prevail without the dragons. With their firm connections to the cosmos, they could pass on their magic to the following generations.
-
The normie bloodlines which refused the teachings of Magtherithil ended up fearing the wizards. It wasn't fair to let humans become that powerful so seemingly effortlessly. So, the normies rose up with their technology and pushed the wizards into hiding... less they wanted to be hunted.
-
In 1694, during the Salem witch trials of Massachusetts, a group of witches had just about enough. They formed an organization together known as the SSC (Supernatural Supreme Court). This group would give them combined power over the other supernaturals to stop them from revealing the rest of the supernatural world.
-
The Supernatural Supreme Court's word and rule spread like wildfire. At the time, it was a godsend. Finally, the supernaturals could rest easy knowing they wouldn't need to hide as strenuously. They could relax and learn to live like normal people once more.
-
As time passed on the SSC grew more and more strict with their policies. Some races were forced to the bottom of the social food chain depending on how well they could keep the secret as a whole. The werewolves were unfortunately at the very bottom due to their inability to gain control of themselves during full moons. For three hundred years, the werewolves suffered as a whole- being treated like monsters instead of the people they actually were.

Modern Day
-
Thanks to the innovative drug 'Moonleaf' crafted by Peter Walker and his team, the werewolves were finally able to gain control over their feral forms. The SSC dropped their prior discrepancies and accepted them into society. This was accomplished April 2019.
-
The SSC as of July 2019 (read about Justin Marin) has finally started to release their iron grip on the supernatural population. No longer do they watch everyone's sudden movements or fine supernaturals for the simplest of things. Now, they have a very hands-off approach to many issues. Only in the face of extreme danger will they step in. The supernatural world breathes a sigh of relief.

Noteworthy People
-
Magtherithil: The Guardian Dragon of the Cosmos. In ancient manuscripts, his name alludes to a figure named 'Merlin' (ask Berry if it's okay for your character to know about this). He travels throughout the galaxies and teaches arcane magic to inhabited planets.
-
Dormithirion: The Grand Chronomancer. He is also a dragon but he's the only creature alive that can use time magic. He keeps the balance of the universe and works directly with the SSC to contain some of the more serious supernatural slip ups.
-
The Walkers:
-
Geoffrey Walker is the SSC ambassador of the United Kingdom. He's known for his short temper and bowler hats.
-
Matteo Walker is the writer of all basic spellbooks and brother of Geoffrey. Most, if not all wizards have one of his beginner books. He's a household name in the wizard communities, and is said to work from Wyrdafel, which has been the reason for many wizards moving there.
-
Peter Walker is the son of Matteo and the innovative inventor of Moonleaf.
-
-
Charles Bishop: The SSC ambassador of the United States. He's a rootin' tootin' pyromancer with one hell of an attitude. Of all the ambassadors, he has the most mercy. It's said his bloodline comes from the original Salem SSC group.
-
Tanya Valure: An extremely powerful hemomancer from Russia. She's fairly well known as the supernatural world's top villain. Her manipulative charm has bent many knees and turned innocents to crime. She is currently the most wanted criminal in the world. Nobody knows where she is, however. She is known most prominently for weaponizing Peter Walker against Wyrdafel by manipulating him and turning him against his companions in June 2019.
-
Bradley Gomas: The necromancer accomplice of Tanya Valure. He is the most deadly dark wizards known to man, and has a gigantic bounty on his head. What he's most prominently known for is breaking out of the SSC's British embassy in June of 2019 and murdering 55% of the employees there. He then promptly raised them all for the dead in his escape, traumatizing dozens of families and onlookers in the process.

Advanced Lore
-
Wizards are able to sense other wizards presences nearby through an arcane connection. (In roleplay, this is done through an intellect check).
-
Wizards revere the Cosmos as a God itself. Cursing it in vain might terrify some.
-
Dark wizards are wizards that practice necromancy, hemomancy, demonology, and shadowmancy. These magicians must become sanctioned with the SSC or else they will be considered illegally practicing their magic. To become sanctioned, a necromancer simply has to be in audience with the SSC and accept the fact that they can check in on them from time to time by providing contact details.
-
Arcane sounds like wind-chimes if concentrated on.
-
Voidmancers do not acquire their magic from the Cosmos. They acquire it from the Void, which is its own entity. The entire purpose of void magic is to consume and destroy arcane.
-
Once a wizard has their arcane taken away by a voidmancer, the world turns a little more dull.
-
Once a wizard becomes a voidmancer, they see only in grayscale. Anything touched by arcane will still retain their colour, however.
-
(You cannot be a voidmancer straight off the bat in this rp, you need to earn it through development).
